Changing from old theme to GP

Hi there,

I am wondering if it's possible to change from my old theme to the free version of GP (to start at least), just by activating it within the WordPress themes section? I am not sure if this will break anything on the site, it looks fine when I use Live Preview but not sure! I have seen a reference to using a test server, etc, so maybe that's the way to go. I don't use any page-builders or custom modules on the site, so I'd hope it'd be straightforward to switch?

Hi there,

yes, themes store there own settings - so switching back and forth between themes will restore the old settings.

I would advise always making a backup of your site just as a pre-caution. Or creating a staging site if your host provides this to test on.
