Changes to Google Font styles

How would I be able to change the Google Fonts to make them italic?
I have chosen the IM Fell English font but I want it to be italic?
Do I have to do this by using custom CSS or is there another way to do it in the Customiser or theme?
I think I can change the font weight through CSS.
Actually I think the font weight can be managed through the Customiser. Just not making it italic.
You would have to use some CSS.
Which element are you targeting?
