Hey GP,
Been building out a staging site and keep facing the same issues with changes not saving properly. Not sure if this is a GP, BeaverBuiulder or caching issue, but I can never get my saved changed to display properly. I purge the cache, but still encounter the same issue.
I’ve created a saved row in Beaver Builder for the Header and Footer and used the hooks element to implement it. On all the new landing pages I’ve created it has come out fine, but for some reason it’s not displaying properly on the Archive and Post pages?
Also, my margins aren’t responsive. When viewing a post on a computer I have a nice margin, but when I start to shrink the window size to tablet and mobile the margins decrease until the text is flush with the edge of the window. Any suggestions on how to make a responsive margin stay?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
can you provide a link to your site? You can edit your original topic and use the Site URL field for privacy.

Is there another way to do this, as I have the directories password protected. Because it’s a staging site for a successfully running site and I didn’t want to risk any chance of it being indexed.
Also, I just went back on the site and it looks like all the changes have been implemented and it’s pretty much all good to go. I don’t know if it’s a loading issue, or perhaps a caching issue, but the headers and footers have balanced out. The only issue now is with the body text margins not being as responsive as I would like. Once they get past half the screen and into tablet / mobile mode they loose all margins and the texts hugs both edges and look very messy. Any code I can put in to force responsive margins?
Thanks,

StaffCustomer SupportThe first issues definitely looked like caching. I personally have all caches / optimizers switched off when building. Especially with pagebuilders, as a note BB has its own cache as well just to mix it up.
If its the GP content padding then the settings in Customizer > Layout > Container –> Padding also has a mobile setting, just click the mobile icon. Let me know.
The Site URL field is private only GP Support can see them, they are not indexable.

Ok yeah it must be a caching issue. I’m still trying to play around with things. Obviously have more caching features than I know turned on.
I had a lot at the Container section and now of the scales seemed to impact the mobile margins. The container for desktop is good, but tablet starts to get squished and mobile is no good.
I’ve done ahead and added the staging site URL in the first post, as well as the login to view the site. Let me know if you need anything else.
Cheers,

StaffCustomer SupportI can’t get that login to work, can you double check.

I don’t think it’s allowing me to input anything with separate spaces. I’m going to use [ ] to create some separate inputs. First is the website, second is username, third is password, forth is the WP admin username, fifth is the WP password. Hoping you can help out with this.
Here’s what the input should look like:
URL [username to access site][password to access site][WP login][WP password]
Hope that makes sense π

Hey guys, just wanted to see if you were able to access the site, or had any suggestions for the mobile margins. I’ve noticed the margins issue also happens on the category pages as well. This is the last issue I’ve got before launching the new site, so I’m super eager to work it out. Cheers π

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
Sorry we didn’t get back to you sooner here.
I just tried getting through the first username/password request and it’s not letting me through for some reason.
Any chance you can send us login details through our Account Issue form here?: https://generatepress.com/contact

Whoops, I just sent it through the pre-sales question form accidently, I’ve just resubmitted it through the account issues form. Thanks for the assistance.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperGot both of them – thanks!
So the margins issue looks like it’s being caused by the “Contained” option in the Container metabox: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
You may have used the Layout Element to add it: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
If you set that to “Default”, the margins issue should go away.
As for the changes issue – it’s hard to tell without knowing what it’s supposed to look like. Since you’re making the changes in Beaver Builder, have you checked with their support? They might have a couple ideas we’re not aware of.
It’s worth testing without any other plugins activated (only BB and GPP).
