I followed the instructions to add a filter to change the search button text, but nothing changed. I added the code snippet plugin, added the filter to it, and the CSS as instructed. The GeneratePress instructions for the filter I followed is the link below.
I save and activate the code snippet. The “on” slider on the code snippet plug-in appears enabled.
After clearing cache and reloading page, the search widget button still shows the default “Search”. I’m obviously missing something.
I have never added any php to a wordpress site, but I am familiar with CSS and php, as well and using the inspect tool. I am currently stumped.
