Change color of or eliminate bar between background image and footer

There is a white bar between my site's background image and the footer. Is there a way I can change its color? If I'm not happy with its appearance, is there a way to eliminate this bar instead?

So when you go to my site, there isn't a white area just above the footer?
Not for me but I think I know the issue.
