I installed Generatepress premium with the site “Marketer.” Everything looks fine except the visited links look strange in the color purple. I would like to change the visited links to navy blue. Please tell me how to do that with custom CSS.
Also after installing the Generatepress theme at the premium plug-in I have been getting an error message everytime I go to customize–it goes by so fast I can’t copy it.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Can you clear and disable LiteSpeed cache so we can inspect the code better?
Thanks 🙂

I purged all the caches—it’s still showing visited links purple. The previous theme was red white and blue with no purple. Purple looks nice in the original because it had it in the demo—now it doesn’t look right.

StaffCustomer SupportI just visited the page and LiteSpeed is still enabled as far as I can tell in the source code.
Can you disable it so we can inspect the code better?
Please disable all other plugins for now as well so we are sure that there isn’t any conflicts.
We don’t need to the admin details yet.
Thanks.

I cannot disable all the plugins because it is live website–not a developer site. I will lose much of the design elements and functionality from Jetpack. I all I did was load Generatepress and the Marketer theme nothing else.
You are welcome to login with the credentials I gave you. I can’t shut off the plugins. I also don’t know what will happen if I shut off litespeed. Please note this my website for getting work and people are looking at it. I can’t disable any plugins or function such as Simple SSL at this time.
Please tell me the CSS to make the visited link text another color navy blue or red.

StaffCustomer SupportIt’s not possible to debug without turning off the plugins unfortunately so providing the login to me doesn’t help either.
In this case, can you start a staging site with the issue duplicated there so we can go through some debugging steps?
We haven’t had any other reports on this so it’s unlikely a theme issue.
Thanks!

I can’t do that–

StaffCustomer SupportI’m not sure how I can be helpful without the debugging steps unfortunately.
I don’t see any code that underlines the link and turn it to purple from the source and we haven’t had any other reports on this.
A staging site is needed to debug issues like this.
Can you try contacting your hosting support? Most of them offer staging site service for free.

NO–I can’t do that. I shut off every plugin on the site except GP and it’s still purple—-I paid for premium support—there is no CSS coming from anywhere else. I’m not a programmer I’m an author publisher—Just because it never happened before doesn’t mean It’s not an issue. Who wrote the theme? Maybe Tom can help?

Okay I deactivated every single plugin including Litespeed, Jetpack and all–The visited text URL is still purple. I changed the theme to 2020 and the visited is purple. What?
June 5, 2021 at 10:28 am #1811566Leo
StaffCustomer SupportGP premium doesn’t have a color option for visited link:

I agree – which is why we need to see if the issue exists with all plugins disabled.
I understand that you are not a programmer – which is why I’m trying to help to resolve the issue. But we do need to go through the debugging steps in order to identify the issue then provide a fix.
Thanks for your understanding.

Please look at it now—visited links are purple with a different theme—What could cause that?
June 5, 2021 at 10:31 am #1811571Leo
StaffCustomer SupportThank you!
So looks like the links still turn purple in 2020 theme so that means it’s definitely not a GP issue.
I still believe you have some sort of caching or optimizing setting activated though – perhaps at the server or hosting level?
This is something you will need to check with the hosting support.

I agree—Support is in India and it takes a day to get through there must be a ser
ver cache. It may disappear by itself.
Would you please tell me how to remove the “theme by Generate Press” in the footer?June 5, 2021 at 11:25 am #1811609Leo
StaffCustomer SupportThis should help:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/changing-the-copyright-message/Please open a new topic for separate question(s) in the future so it’s easier for us to track.
Thanks!
