How to achieve uncropped Cat archive images (fixed width)

Hi there,
Trying to figure out how to get this layout for cat archives:
I am using Elementor Pro and the archive posts widget with a CPT
Does the theme automatically crop the thumbnails? I think what i need is uncropped images which fill the container by width (fixed with) and is aligned to the top edge
Any help gratefully received!

If you are using Elementor Pro for that then GP shouldn't interfere at all.
