Can't Remove "Leave a Comment" box
3 replies · Started by tbgr on July 31, 2019
Hello.
I'm using GP Premium for my website: http://www.theblumenthalgolfreport.com
I DON'T want readers to be able to leave comments. So I went to Customizing/Layout/Blog and UNCHECKED "Display Comment Count."
That DID remove the small "comment" icon below the post.
However, if you click the post's headline or feature image, a new page opens and beneath the post is the large "Leave a Comment" box, "Post Comment" button, Akismet stuff, etc.
How do I remove ALL of this comment-related stuff. Again, I don't want the reader to have the ability to leave comments.
Thank you.
Hi there,
it is a WordPress function. Go to your Posts, and select All and Bulk Edit there is an option for Comments - set this to disallow and save.
This guide provides a lot of details on managing comments:

Thank you!
You're welcome
