Can't find page

Hi Tom,
This is one problem that seems easy to fix but isn’t — at least for me.

Trying to open a submenu item, called Results, from the main nav and get error message, “Opps! That page can’t be found.”

I can find:
— The Results page with content in Pages > All Pages.
— The Results page as a subitem (3rd menu level) of Successes Page: Sales Page in the Menu Structure. That’s just where I want it.

When I searched for the Results page from the Opps! page, I found it. But the copy had a “Read More” tag at the end that is not on the Results page. When I clicked “Read More,” the Results page came up. Don’t know whether this provides a clue.

Can you suggest any troubleshooting steps? Nothing helpful found online.

Click the view page link from the edit page area in the Dashboard of that page. Does the URL match the URL from the front end that is displaying the not found page?

If not, your menu item probably needs updating with the correct URL.

Hi Tom,
The URLs don’t match:
“…/results/” versus “…/results_trashed/”

Please tell me how to update the menu item with the correct URL.

Because I’ve done this, and it’s not working:
1. Menu screen
2. Edit menus > clicked Select a menu to edit
3. Clicked dropdown arrow and the problem menu item is not listed, so can’t see options panel to update URL.

The problem menu item/page is called “Results.” It’s a 3rd level menu item — From the main navigation bar:
Successes > Sales Page > Results.

I think you could help me if you take a look. I will send you access privately.

To update the menu item, go to “Appearance > Menus” and delete the current one (expand it and press delete).

Then find the page listed on the left and add it to the menu.

That one should have the updated URL 🙂
