Michael
Hello, I’m probably missing something basic, but I can’t see where to delete these 3 extraneous widgets in the header section.
I’m able to add new widgets (see the extra search widget below), but there are 3 existing ones on top of that which don’t show up on the customizer.
Could you tell me what I’m missing?
Thank you!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Looks like you are looking at the right spot.
Any caching plugins or server cache?
If not then we will need to see the site to really tell. Your staging site requires login access.
You can send them through Account Issues here:

Okay, just sent you credentials to account issues. Thanks!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHmm, that’s strange. Do you have any Hook Elements added?: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-element-overview/
Perhaps one of them is adding the other widgets?
If not, do you have any custom functions added to the site? Any changes made to the theme code?

Sorry, I’m not quite sure what hooks are.
I just purchased GP Premium last night and installed it. I was previously using xTheme and trying to migrate to yours. Once I activated the theme I immediately noticed the extraneous widgets in the header section. I was able to delete a few of them, but these 3 don’t even show up so I can’t delete it.
I can give you a login to the dev site if that helps?
Where else could I check custom functions added to the site? Could it be remnants of xTheme somehow?
Thank you!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperTemporary admin login details would definitely help. You can send them here: https://generatepress.com/contact
Thanks!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperJust a heads up that you are using caching of some sort: https://screencast.com/t/GL24qtungwt
Be sure to deactivate/clear that caching after you remove the header widgets.

Okay, I sent over the admin credentials.
I believe SiteGround has caching in their optimizer plugin. I tried flushing the cache earlier and even disabling the plugin, but it was still the same result.
I appreciate the help! π

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
I’m seeing all 3 widgets in the Header widget area: https://www.screencast.com/t/v3KPuQOJJd
I removed all but the search, and now I see this on the frontend: https://www.screencast.com/t/Cp6chjdQO7r

Awesome, thanks! Do you think it was a local caching issue on my desktop perhaps? In any case, I’m happy I can move forward now. π

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperStrange one for sure. Maybe your connection wasn’t allowing you to properly save the deletion of the widgets?
Glad it’s working now π
