Cannot turn off comments Marketer theme

Hi all,

I am using the marketer theme. I have disabled comments in the Wordpress admin but any new posts I make still have the comments enabled and I cannot find where to disable them when I create a new post.

I am using the classic editor.

Any ideas?

Yes, I did uncheck the 'Allow people to post comments on new articles' in the discussion admin, however when creating a new post I thought there were controls for enabling or disabling comments for that particular post?

Maybe I dreamt it...lol
