Adam
Hello, I am writing a blog post like normal and I noticed by TOC plugin was not able to recognize my H2 and H3 headings, etc. I disabled the plug in, but now I see that when i click the “i” in to the top left for post details, it is also showing 0 headings even though it has 1300 words with numerous H2, H3 etc…
What could be causing this and how do I fix it? MY GP is up to date, as are all my plugins. Never had this problem before and I have not installed or downloaded any new plugins, etc…
Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportHi Adam,
It doesn’t look like a theme issue to me.
Have you contacted the plugin support?
If you switch to a twenty twenty theme, does the issue persist?
Let me know 🙂

Hi Ying, I’m not sure who to contact about plugin support…?
I have disabled the TOC plugin, and the issue is still happening…Why would WordPress say 0 headings for my blog post if I am using H2, H3, etc?
Also, im not sure what a twenty twenty theme is? Can you explain and how to switch? I’ve only used Generate Press

StaffCustomer SupportAre you using the GB headline block or the default WP Heading block to insert the headings?
I don’t think WP recognizes headings inserted by plugins.

Hi Ying…to be clear, im not using a plugin. I was using a Table of contents plugin when I noticed it said “No headings found”. So I disbaled and uninstalled it.
I am just using regular wordpress and GP…the same as I always have for all my posts. Nothing new or changed. Just + add new post and then start writing and choose my H2, H3, H4, etc…

When I click the “i” in the top left of my post… it normally shows the blog outline…
H2
–H3
—H4 etc….It says 0 Headings found…

StaffCustomer SupportSo the headings are added using WP default heading block? The icon looks like this:
https://www.screencast.com/t/jaSRvRWXQvIf so, can you try disable all your plugins to see if there’s a conflict?
If it doesn’t work, can you go to appearance > themes? check if you have twenty twenty one theme, if so, activate it and see if the issue is gone.
https://www.screencast.com/t/yDvcJrqQyywIf you don’t have the twenty twenty one theme, you can hit add new and add it.
Let me know how it goes.
