1 - Under Customize / Layout height is stuck @ 60px even if i change it to 40px
which appears in the customization window but remains the same once i publish

2 - Furthermore the same issue happens when i want to change the container separating space
from 20px to 40px.

i'm not a neophyte but neither an expert, still this is leaving me dumbfounded.

Thanks for the support

Hi there,

can you provide a link to your Site? You can edit your original topic and use the Site URL field for privacy.

1. You have this CSS added:

.main-navigation .main-nav ul li a {
	padding-left: 20px;
	padding-right: 20px;
	line-height: 60px;
}

2. You have this CSS added:

.separate-containers .site-main,
.separate-containers .inside-right-sidebar,
.separate-containers .inside-left-sidebar {
	margin-top: 20px;
	margin-bottom: 20px;
}

There are a lot of CSS in your style.css file. I would recommend checking that first if you noticed other options don't work in the customizer.

Hope this helps!

Hi Leo,

Nothing has changed at all. Even verified on a lap top.

1 – Under Customize / Layout height is stuck @ 60px even if i change it to 40px
which appears in the customization window but remains the same once i publish

2 – Furthermore the same issue happens when i want to change the container separating space from 20px to 40px.

3 - checked Customizing: Additional CSS; nothing there.

Furthermore, this is a Clean WordPress install, i haven't touched ANY settings NONE what so ever. So please i do not want you to add a band aid (CSS) solution to the issue of Not being able to adjust these setting as displayed in the Customize menu under -layout- or is there something i'm not getting here. I rarely use tech support i read and read and try and try until i understand. Even if the code fixes the issue it still doesn't give me an explanation to why there are "settings" one can't use ?

Leo Leo Leo,

GeneratePress are the BEST above all the rest.
Furthermore using Beaver Builder & Slider Revolution with GP Elements
makes things that much easier !

Many Thanks Leo & to Tom also for putting together
such a Top Notch Support Team.

Thank You
