Hello,

I like to use the "Vacation" theme from Generatepress's site library, but I found it cannot replace the default site icon.

I've disabled the cache plugin and deleted the default logo that comes with the theme, but it seems the logo that I uploaded not appear. (the default logo keeps showing instead)

For now, I had to not showing the logo at all in Site Identity's settings.

This problem only occurs at the desktop view, but it seems fine in mobile view [using setting at Layout » Header » Mobile Header(ON) / Branding Type(Logo) / Use Navigation as Header(✔)]

There was a bug in this theme, or was there is misconfiguration from me?

Hi Naim,

Can you try upload a logo at customizer > site identity?

Let me know :)

I've already tried it, and it was not working.

Hi Naim,

Can you try uploading the logo again on Customizer > Site Identity?

And then go to Appearance > Elements and open "Home Merge" Header Element.

Go to its "Site Header" Tab and you should see a "Site Logo" option there containing the "Vacation" theme. https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuEq9lg

Remove that and replace it with your preferred logo.

Hello Elvin.

Thanks a lot for your assistance. It works like a charm!

But one more question, how to change a site's logo color when navigating to another page?

I noticed that in the Vacation theme demos in the site library, the site logo changed to black when navigating to other pages (It was white when in homepage)

How can I achieve the same result? Because my logo remains white when navigating to other pages.

The Header Element of Vacation, by default, applies to Home page. The white "vacation logo" added to the Header element you just changed is the one being used by the Home page.

For every other pages not added on the Header Element's display rule, it uses the default logo of the theme set on Appearance > customize > Site Identity.

That said, you can set a different logo on Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.

Ah, I got it. I've found the settings, and it works.

Thanks a lot for your help. 😁😁

Nice one. No problem. :D
