    Hi all,

I’m Tom from the Netherlands and I’m a big fan of the GreneratePress Theme. In my opinion it can create almost anything! I know a lot about the theme, but not everything. See my website (https://web-creations.nl)

    Summary
A potential client is asking me to recreate his website. This website(https://hortiheroes.com/) is created using a handmade theme. I was thinking of using the GeneratePress theme for this.

    Question
Is it possible to recreate the whole website (every element) using the GeneratePress theme? Or are there things GeneratePress can’t do.

I need to know this before taking this project.

Hope you guys could give me some advice.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi there,

i don’t see anything Theme related that GeneratePress can’t do. But there is a lot of custom HTML and CSS being applied. Looking at your own site you seem confident for the challenge.

    Anything in particular troubling you?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the quick answer.

No not yes, I think I can manage this.

    Second Question:
How can I best approache this. Make screenshots of every page, enable GeneratePress and recreate it?
Or start a new fresh WP installation next to the existant website and copy paste all pages?

    Other question:
Can the e-mail notification header name E.Schwagermann on my account be changed to Tom Snelders?

    That would be your preference.
I personally i would look at extracting the content as cleanly as possible, so plain text and media attachments, then look at creating the framework i need for the different styles – columns, headings etc and set up my markup and CSS for these. Then begin copying and pasting.
