Button to insert special characters in comments

Hi,

I'd like to have buttons so that people can insert special characters (French letters) in their comments, just like what you have here in the forum at the top of the text box.

Another solution could be to have a button that opens a virtual keyboard.

Any idea on how I could do that?

Hi there,

The comment editor is actually handled by WordPress and unfortunately I'm not sure how you could add extra elements in it.

Have it seen it done somewhere?

I had in mind something like in this website:

Basically some buttons that I could place above a text box (it's actually not for comments but for answering quizzes in LearnDash, so maybe I should ask them?).

Yup I would check with their support on how to best handle it.
