Are you using any caching plugins by any chance? If so make sure to clear them.

If not then please disable all plugins except GP and GB to test.

I disabled Rank Math and it worked again. But I'm not sure what to change in Rank Math once its enabled. I understand this may be beyond your area to advise in...

I'm guessing that there is a setting in RankMath that adds target="_blank" automatically to all links.

Their support team should be able to identify it for you :)
