Blog Style Suggestion

Hello,
it would be very nice, if you could add more Blog Sites to the Site Library.
A Style like this would be nice, since it uses almost no images and looks excellent: https://wpjohnny.com/blog/
Also the fact, that it uses no sidebar, and the text is nevertheless good readable and not to wide is very good in my opinion.
Any chance for something like that in the future?
Hi there,
thats a nice design. Definitely we will being adding more blog and woo designs soon!
Hi David,
ok, sounds great. Looking forward to the new designs.
You're welcome
Sorry for coming back to this topic. But do you know, when new Blog Designs will be released? Is it worth to wait for that, for starting a new Blog Website?
Because when looking at the latest sites, they are all the same typ of sites and even look almost the same (e.g. Search, Dev).
We're currently working on the next GP Premium update, expecting to go to Alpha release next week. This is going to add some super new functionality to GP that will open up a whole new way of building sites. Once that release is completed we will have some new sites that really are worth the wait.
Sounds good, if this new sites are Blog Sites, at least some of them.
There will be :) You're welcome
I have not see any new Blog Sites since the start of this topic in December last year. So can we expect new blog sites, or is this not something we can expect from GP anymore?
I have the feeling, GP adding more and more complicated features for developers all the time, but did not focus on normal users anymore, who likes good looking and modern templates out of the box, which are easy to implement.
We are still working on them.
There should be some new ones coming soon since now we can use the content template option.
Let me know if you have some examples you'd like to see :)
We are still working on them.
Do you still working on them?
We released 3 sites recently:
https://gpsites.co/dance/
https://gpsites.co/aroma/
https://gpsites.co/feather/
Dance is blog site. Aroma and Feather are eCommerce shop but you can incorporate a blog in them as well.
There will be more coming.
I have seen them, but they are not for me.
You mentioned "Dance" as a Blog Site, but for me a Blog must be easy to read. Without colored background. And more important, with a readable line lenght.
In "Dance" you have a line lenght which is not readable anymore.
You mentioned “Dance” as a Blog Site, but for me a Blog must be easy to read. Without colored background.
That would be more of a personal preference. A lot of people like the color contrast.
You can absolutely switch the background color to white and make the text black if you wish.
And more important, with a readable line lenght.
What do you mean by that? Like each line isn't long enough? That can be changed to your preference as well.
I'm not sure if we will be able to make site templates exactly to you or other users liking without modifying anything.
The templates are meant to be a starting point for you to build your site.
Hope this makes sense.
Hi,
I'm looking to do more with my sites and need something that would fit a members club page. I'm using GP 3 but the Sites library is pretty sparse on sites for GP 3 with GP 2 seemingly better supported for Sites. I don't need commerce so Aroma and Feather are not for me, Dance just seems unfinished and not that great. I was going to install 'Volume' today as that is one where the screen is not taken up with a huge top block, unfortunately, Volume is a GP 2 site also. Is there anything for GP 3 that you could recommend in the Sites section that may work for a sports club page please, I'm a bit frustrated with the sparsity of sites for GP 3 but hope to keep with GeneratePress if I can. Thanks.
