Blog page custom field not visible on hero element

I've set up a core custom field for various pages including the blog page. I am displaying that custom field as a subtitle in a hero element using a dynamic headline element. The custom field is displayed fine on the other pages but is not displayed at all on the Blog page. Is there a peculiarity related to the Blog page?
Hi George,
yeah - WordPress does not parse any Meta Boxes on the Blog Page.
I think the only way around that is an ACF options page... and there i am not to sure how you would return that using dynamic data.... personally i would create a static element for the blog.
