Blog Critical Error

Hi there, I built a site with GeneratePress about a month ago. Two days ago the blog page started showing a critical error message. When I change themes, the blog is fine. I have not made any changes to the site. Auto-updates are enabled.
I have tried:
-clearing browser cache
-clearing & deactivating caching plugins
-deactivating all plugins
-a different theme. This worked, but is of course not terribly helpful.
We also tried restoring a backup from when the site was operating normally. This is not work either.
Any help? Thank you in advance.
Hi Bridget,
Can you try remove the GP theme and re-install it in case there's some theme files missing or modified accidently?
