Best practice if the customizer is not needed

I absolutely love how Generatepress uses the WP customizer. However, sometimes it is more practical to put as much as possible in the child theme stylesheet. This way it is easier to work with variables, for example. What would you consider best practice in this case? Would you remove the settings for, say, background colors in the customizer? Or would you deactivate the module? Or wouldn't you care at all and just override it in the child stylesheet?
Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike,
This would depend on your preference. Setting colors on your stylesheet would be fine, and removing colors set from Customize > Colors to assure no redundancy is fine too.

Disabling the backgrounds module would only disable the ability to “Set background images for various HTML elements”. The Colors in the Customizer is from WordPress. :)

Hope this clarifies. :)
Hi Fernando,
thank you very much.
The Colors in the Customizer is from WordPress.
Ah, I didn't know that. Many themes seem to only support a fraction of these settings. Even the Twenty-Two theme only uses a few of it.
