background image (header) spacing questions

Hi all. (Gotta stop saying Tom)
- Is there an optimum image size to use, as the dialog box does not "suggest" when choosing an image.
- I cant seem get the bg Header image below the secondary menu
- Or slightly above the primary menu?
Image is 1100x436.
Have fiddled with Layout, header to no avail.

Crap, just found "Above Header" in Secondary navigation. If you could please answer other questions please.

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish but that header background image might be better if use it as a site logo in Site Identity?
Im trying to have that header bg image, NOT touch the 2 menus?
Plus, you have yet to answer the 1st question?
Then try adding it as the site logo:

And add some top and bottom padding:

No, there is no suggested size as it's all personal reference.
