although I unchecked the author name and date on customize blog it's still visible.
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I created the posts before I changed to generatepress today?
I used studiopress sample theme until today, I now changed to generatepress.

The page you linked is a single post so can you make sure the options are unchecked when Single is selected?

Then make sure you clear the caching plugin to see any changes.

I found it myself I had to go to content and then single instead of archives.
I love the theme!
