Hi,
why has GPP as a premium theme no such functions like author box and recent posts build in?
One has to install plugins for such functions, but the plugins aren´t often not so good and in general i like to avoid instaling too many plugins.
You never know, how long these plugins are supportet and if they are save to use (security).

We try to add features that are only useful for majority of users so that the theme and plugin stays light and fast.
Things like author box and recent posts are more suitable for plugins as we really don't receive too many requests on it and most people are happy with the plugin route.
There should be lots of good reliable choices out there though.
