Apply content post template to a section on a static page

Hello, I'm looking display posts by categories (The Latest, Category 1, Cat 2, etc) in different sections/containers on my homepage with 3 columns and 2 rows. My homepage is a static page, so I'm looking for some feedback on the best way to accomplish this. I have GeneratePress Premium, GenerateBlocks Pro, and also use WP Show Posts. Hoping to do this using the GeneratePress Content Template Block Element if possible, which is why I posted this ticket here vs elsewhere.

My initial thought was that I could use WP Show Posts to do this, and while it worked to a certain degree, WP Show Posts is not giving me the complete design flexibility that I am looking for. I don't have WP Show Posts Pro, which I know provides some extra styling features so I'd be happy to purchase it if you think it would do the trick. From what I saw in the videos, it didn't seem to be the case.

Basically, I want to move the category link above the title/under the image (to match my blog category pages), rather than below the title, make the background color of the meta data section white and get the images displaying clearly. Not sure why they are blurry as they are smaller than the images on my blog category pages which are more clear. For the category term link, "below title" and "below post" are the only default options in Wp Show Posts on where to display the terms.

Better yet, I'm hoping there is a way to design, build, and apply this using the GeneratePress Content Template Block Element? If so, that would be amazing. Fingers crossed for this feature. It seems maybe you can only use Content Templates to apply post designs to entire blog archive pages at this point?
