Appear with 'Back to Top' button

I have created a social sharing buttons bar that sticks to the bottom of a page as the user scrolls. It would be awesome if that bar appeared along with the 'back to top' button instead of from page load.
Is it possible to use generate_back_to_top_start_scroll to also display a div?
(I'm confident with using CSS and PHP snippets)
