AMP breaks mobile menu

I've read a few posts here and on other sites about GeneratePress with the AMP plugin.
After installing the plugin (https://github.com/tomusborne/amp-for-generatepress) and the official AMP plugin (site set to transitional), I notice on the AMP version of my site that the mobile menu doesn't work correctly.
Some other posts mention this but I haven't seen a workaround, or if I'm missing something!
