Hi Tom
Im using two of your childs themes. When I switch from one to the other, I get this notice in the pic.
Your plugins I have active.
Should one not use multiple GP child themes?
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
That message is there because when you install a child theme and already have values saved in the Customizer, the child theme won’t look exactly as advertised, because you already have settings saved.
So it gives you the option to go and delete the settings you have saved so the child theme can look as it’s advertised.
Of course, if you’re happy with the combination of your saved values and the child theme settings, then there’s no need to do anything.
Let me know if that makes sense or not π

Im being paid to make 3 EXAMPLES of a new website, so Im using 3 of your child themes and your Premium plugs. I need to be able to show the clients the 3 example when Im done.
Why is it other themes dont ask this question when swicting between say 2013, 2014 and 2015?
November 21, 2015 at 10:35 am #154629Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperBecause those themes don’t have so many options.
Each child theme has set defaults – these defaults only display if you haven’t chosen your own options (this is so you can customize the child themes).
This message is telling you that you have your own options set, so your options might be overriding some of the child theme defaults.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAbsolutely – that would be the best way to do it π

Cool thanks Tom.
Double your individual Plug prices, and create a multi-priced scheme to buy 3, 5, 7, 10, etc, so you can increase cust count, and revenue. The plugs are worth it with the great free theme.
Ask you loyal customers to vouch for you on a new “Happy Customers” page, and fill it with cust refereals.
Also add SUPPORT options:
1 time fee for support
5 question fee
10 question fee
etc, etc.Ill be the first to give you a great referal.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThanks for the ideas! Really appreciate it π
Increasing the individual add-on prices is something I’m toying with – I want people to purchase GP Premium, as it’s better for me and them in the long run.
As for support, I’m thinking of implementing a Premium Support section which would be a yearly fee – all kinds of ideas!
Thanks again π
