all I see is code

I had a site built with Divi Builder. Installed GP Premium plug in and activated GP following the instructions, but all I see is code. Is there a page builder or something I can use to get this site even close to readable again? All I can see is code when I try to view the site.
Plus it won't update, keeps saying update failed.
Hi there,
I believe Divi uses shortcodes to build your content. This means if Divi Builder is deactivated, all you're left with is a bunch of useless shortcodes, which is a shame. You'll need to re-build your content without Divi, or continue to use it along with GeneratePress in order to preserve your content.
