Alignment not working

Hi there,
I created a sidebar via plugin that can be opened via a vertical button with text.
At the "top" (meaning left side) of the sidebar i created a vertical text that should mimic the button.
Now i tried to align the button and the text of the sidebar. Therefore i tried to align the vertical text - but without succes.
Is there a way to drag the text of the opened sidebar to the top - so its around the same position as when the bar is closed and the button is shown?

I don't think you are referring to the home page here?
