AdSense Code In Hook Changed Slightly On Page

Hi,

I have added my google Adsense code in a hook as described in other forum posts. But when I check the page source, I find that the code has changed slightly:
AdSense Code: <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>
Page Source: <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" async="" src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

Google says it can't find the AdSense code when I run the check.
Is the slight modification an issue?
Do you know what could cause this, or how I can avoid the code changing from what I put in the hook?

Hi there,

the source will show empty attributes such as async="" instead of the original async and thats not a problem.

How long has the code been hooked in ? As it may take a little while for Google to index it

Thanks for the reply David.

The code has been hooked in for about 24 hours now. I’ll check on and off for the next few days, hopefully it will work by then. I wish google would have given a timeframe.

Yeah looks like I just needed to wait for about a day and a half. Google activated my account now. Thanks!

Thats great to hear. Yeah Google works to its own schedule - thats pretty quick for Google, i been headbutting a wall for a 3-4 days in the past :)
