additional css vs simple css

hi gp,
quick question...
i am adding css to the 'additional css' via the customiser but it doesn't work unless i added it via the 'simple css' just above it. any reason as to why this is?

Both should work.
Do you have other CSS added in Additional CSS field? If so maybe there is a syntax error that stops the rest of the CSS from working?

the only css on the additional css field is the GP css from the theme...the rest of the customisation i've added via the simple css field because it wouldn't work through the additional css field.
please have a look if you got the time through the temp login
Looks like there is an extra closing bracket here that might be causing the issue:

Which site did you import? Maybe it's a mistake from our side.

it was that extra closing bracket which i missed that was causing the issue. thank you.
Can you recall which site you've imported? I just want to check if it came with the imported template :)
