Adding Text To Home Page

Hi,

I'm stumped on this situation!

My home page is simply displaying 2 category blog items... using the plugin "Front Page Category".
It shoots out the selected categories to your home page, has pagination... awesome!

I have the Header I made, footer, etc... looks great.

But I can't find out how to add text under the header navigation / above the categories that shoot out. (or insert a block) - Since the home page has no page to work on, I'm finding this difficult -- and if it did have a page, it would have no pagination. Stumped...

Thanks,
Dave

Hi there,

can i suggest Tom's other plugin: WP Show Posts:

https://wpshowposts.com

The free version will do that and more. It allows you to create lists of posts filtered by category and you can add them using shortcodes. Which will solve the issue you have.

Hi,

Yes that is a nice plug-in ... but not compatible with "Theia Post Slider" plug-in ... things go a little bonkers together.

One of my developer friends said perhaps using generate_after_header hook can work ? But I only want to display this on the home page.... possible ?

thanks,
Dave

Bingo, got it!

Awesome theme... awesome community of people to help and the more I dig, the more I'm amazed.

thanks,
Dave
