Adding Blog Excerpt to Home Page in Horizon

This is probably really obvious but I am redesigning my website. Originally I was using Pivot but now I will be using Horizon. One of the things I am trying to replicate from Pivot is adding a blog block on the homepage. Not quite sure how to do that. I am running the most up to date versions of GP and GP Premium as well as Beaver Builder.
Any ideas on this?

You will need a plugin like WP Show Posts to display posts on static pages:

I used the "Posts" module in Beaver Builder which worked great.
