[Support request] adding an image slider to the header

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to change the header from a static image to using a slider? If it is can you tell me what I need to do to achieve this, eg do I need a specific plugin for the slider etc.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there,

You will need a Slider Plugin. Lot of people like Smart Slider 3, but there are lots of others on WordPress.org such as Meta Slider.

All of them provide a Shortcode.
You can add this to your site – using either:

a. A Header Element – these are always displayed below the Site/Header Navigation:

b. A hook element – which you can place in many areas:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-element-overview/
