Adding active menu class to anchor wordpress menu

Hello
As there isnt current-menu-item class added to menu items by default, which we create as anchor menu item for purpose of pointing towards another sections on the similar page
Can you please suggest for some hook and code snippet which can be added to functions.php to derive this functionality like seen here -
