Add highlighted image automatically

Hi.
When I post a post and do not define a highlighted image, nothing is displayed.
How can I make sure that whenever a post has no highlighted image defined, a standard image is used?

I'll explain better.
When we publish a post, it is possible to select a featured image for it.
This image is displayed in the list of posts and at the top of each post.
When no image is manually defined, only the Title is displayed in the list of posts.
I would like to define a default image to be used in posts where no image has been defined manually.
