Add custom list in homepage with page section

Hi,

I want to add some custom post in section on Page. I saw some other threads said that use WP Showpost. I tried to use it and there is some problems like the following
My homepage is https://www.vinaloka.com – please show in Section “Neueste Beiträge bei vinaloka.com”

1. WP Showpost load image with full dimension. So it can effect to my website speed. I want to load only the thumbnail image (width maximum 300px)
2. My feature image is not the same dimension. So the list is not in the line and saw so un professional.

How could i solve that ? I want to customize my homepage but don’t know where to start ?
I can make some code – no problem.

If not then I would recommend starting a support topic in WP Show Posts forum as it’s a separate product.

2. Normally I find the best practice is to make sure the images are the same size before uploading so they will scale the same. But the options mentioned above might help as well.
