Hello,

I hope someone can help me with this issue. I get a 404-page error every time I visit appearance>>customize to try and customize the theme. The issue started after I installed AMP for Wordpress (the one by Google). I already installed the fix from GitHub for generate press.

Thanks.

Hi Gabriel,

Just to confirm, can we try debugging it fully first?

Can you try disabling ALL plugins except GP Premium, and see if you can now access the customizer? If no, then this may be a server permission issue.

If you can access the page and save any changes, can you try activating the AMP plugin you're using? then test if you can access the customizer. This is to confirm plugin conflict.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Elvin,

When I deactivate all plugins. I can access the customizer fine and save changes.

When I activate all plugins except for Google's AMP plugin, the customizer works fine.

The moment I activate AMP plugin, the customizer starts giving me a 404 error again.

This is the plugin I have installed: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/amp/
I also have the generate press for AMP fix installed.

Does the issue exist when you use a Twenty series WP theme with the amp plugin?

Hi Leo,

When I select a twenty-something theme (tried several), after saving settings via the AMP wizard, I get no preview. When I try to customize, the customizer opens but I have a blank website. It's like the markup isn't rendering or something (see the attached screenshot).

When I try to access the mobile version of my site (I only have AMP setup for "Posts" in settings), the article comes up with error 500 - see screenshot attached. Noe that even if I switched the whole site to AMP, the same issues persist.

When I switch back to AMP legacy, the website works fine, but the customizer gives a 404 error each time.

So sounds like the issue isn't related to the theme as it happens in 2020 as well.

Can you check with AMP plugin's support team and see if they can help identifying the issue?

Ok, I will and report back.

Sounds good.
