403 Server Error
11 replies · Started by Richard on February 10, 2022
Guys,
I have a script installed and working fine using the Shortcode function here (using Search demo):
https://rifeagency.co.uk/marketing-audit/
However, I've tried installing the same script with both Shortcode and HTML function, but both give a 403 Server Error when I try saving here (Bold Elementor demo):
https://staging1.rifeagency.co.uk/marketing-audit/
What should I do?
Thanks,
Richard
Hi Richard,
Can you point me to where I should be looking at on both sites?
And the staging site requires user name and password, can you provide that as well?
Thanks!
Hi Ying,
On the live site it's the form just under the hero image with the title: How is my business performing online?
https://rifeagency.co.uk/marketing-audit/
I haven't been able to add it to the staging site as I get the 403 error when I try to save it?
Thanks very much,
Richard
Hi Richard,
I can't see how this would be a GP issue as 403 is a server error so let's do some tests.
Do you get the same issue with all plugins disabled except GP Premium?
If so what if you activate a Twenty series WP default theme?
It is on a staging site, so maybe it's this.
I hope to take it live soon, so will try then.
Thanks,
Richard
I don't think it's a staging site issue but sounds good.
OK, I’ve run some tests.
Disabled all plugins.
Script runs fine.
Enabled Elementor plugin – script no longer works.
Activated Twenty Twenty-Two theme with all plugins disabled – script runs fine.
Activated Elementor plugin – script no longer works.
Looks like I need to get onto the guys at Elementor?
Thanks very much,
Richard
Hi there,
yes, it sounds like you need to talk with Elementor. As you have eliminated Themes and other Plugins from the issues.
OK, maybe it's Wordfence:

I hope to check it out shortly.
Thanks,
Richard
For sure WordFence or other Security mods may be throwing the error.
Its worth speaking with your host as well, they may be able to provide more info on that.
Moved to the live site and disabled WordFence and everything good!
Thanks very much,
Richard
Glad to hear you got it working!
