Hello,

I hope you are doing well!

I just installed generate press on two websites. Website 1 is working fine. Website 2 has issues. The sidebar appears at the bottom of the pages.

I looked at old posts and saw that this may be due to HTML error. I ran https://whatwg.org/validator/ and found 38 errors, but I don't even know how to begin to fix the issue.

But then again website 1 that was successful has 58 errors yet it's ok. I wonder what's going on if there is another issue.

Ok I added as attached! Thank you SOOOOOO mucchhhh

sorry I don't know which child theme to select, please advice

I also have 2 AMP's- one for WordPress.com and one for generate press. Should I deactivate the other one?

sorry I don’t know which child theme to select, please advice

I was just asking, most users don't have child theme :) Just go to appearance > theme, and tell me the name of the active theme, most likely it's GeneratePress.

So if you have 2 AMP plugins, it sounds right.

Can you try to disable all plugins except GP Premium to test?

And have you added any HTML code to the site?

thanks, confirmed themes and I have generate press only.

No HTML added or edited

i just deactivated all plugins except akismet and go premium. Askimet can't disable

it works now! OMG! wHAT COULD The issue be.

but when I add them one by one, it goes back to being at the bottom. I am unable to determine which one, I can try again later tonight and see.

Try to activate them one by one slowly :)

Hello,

Thank you so much for your guidance. I realized the issue is the AMP. If I activate it, it removes the sidebar. I just disabled it for now. I only have AMP for Generate Press at the moment. Any other leads or ideas on a workaround for this? My site speed dropped to 77. It was like a 98 for mobile.

I'm not familiar with AMP, but I do aware that quite a few users are using AMP, and they don't have this issue.

There might be some kind of settings can avoid this, but it's better reach out to their support for this.

By the way, I just did a lighthouse mobile test for the about page, the score is quite amazing ( 96 in terms of performance) without AMP.

Your site is not complicated at all, I don't think you need AMP for it. :)

Ok sounds good, I removed both AMPs for now and it's fine. Thank you so much! I appreciate your patience and expertise

You are welcome :)
