2 menus on desktop down to one on mobile

Hi Tom
I have a site that is going to have 2 menus, one on top (the main one) and one on the left for product categories. is it possible to do this and then as well when on mobile the 2 menus would become one, or if its easier just specify a totally separate menu that includes the items i want for the mobile menu?
hopefully that makes sense. just quoting on the project right now.

Can you explain more on about the one on the left?
Would that be slideout navigation or something?

no it would be a fixed menu of links no pop outs/slideouts. top menu likely wont have any drop downs either.

I believe it's doable but will require a considerable amount of custom coding.
no, sorry its just an idea right now. i just wanted to see if possible. i mean it might just be a matter of setting a hidden css tag on the left menu once below a certain resolution...
We'd like this think anything is possible with GP :)
It will likely require more than just CSS though to have both a fixed side panel and the normal navigation.
I assume you are very comfortable with HTML CSS and PHP?
thanks! ill post if i get to that point. comfortable yes, "very" id say not really. less so with php, but am pretty good now with css and html for sure.
