Hi Tom,
the list of Elements is empty.
It shows
All (14) | Published (12) | Drafts (2) | Trash (2)

but no list.

I found also, that one hook with location "homepage" does not work. The other hooks seem to work

For now I went back to 1.7.8
Also Google Analytics was down (location entire site)
But the hook for formatting the WPSP title (entire site)

<style>
	.wp-show-posts-entry-title {
    line-height: 1.1em;
    min-height: 3.3em;
}
</style>

in 1.8.1 is working in all languages and in 1.7.8 only in the original language.
As I looked initially only to this, as this is my "case", everything seemed fine to me.

Hi there,

The only thing that changed in 1.8 in regards to Elements was we made it WPML compatible. Are you using a plugin like WPML or Polylang?

Hi Tom,
Polylang. I made one further test and found, that I can define new Elements in 1.8.a.1 and they are shown in the list. The Elements defined in 1.7.8 are there
All (14) | Published (12) | Drafts (2) | Trash (2)
but not shown in the list and partly not active.

If I go back to 1.7.8 I see all again in the list.

What happens when you deactivate Polylang?

The list is there then in 1.8.a.1

Weird. Here's what I tried:

1. Installed 1.7.8 on a fresh site.
2. Installed Polylang and created two languages.
3. Added some Elements
4. Added some posts in both languages
5. Updated to 1.8.0-alpha.1

My Elements are all still there.

I'll do some more testing.

Hi Tom,
I made now one more test. I switched off Polylang and passed to 1.8.a.1 and enabled Polylang again.
The result was, that I see the list of Elements. But at least the image slider on the front page was not active. I can't say actually if some or all Elements are affected.
If you like I can prepare an account so maybe you can look better into it.

OK, done

Hi there,

The login details you sent don't seem to be working. Can you check?

Thanks!

Thank you for your support.
B

Thanks for helping me improve compatibility with Polylang :)

Just an FYI, I had this same problem using WPML. I disabled the WPML Multilingual CMS and then I could see the "missing" elements. After reenabling WPML I could still see them. buggy but for now its fine

Hmm, that's strange. We'll take a look :)
