Hello, I see a "header"-option, when I create a new posts-"category"-tag. When I try to open it, it is empty. Is this a left-over of before-elements-times, or how can I use it? Regards Klaus
Hi there,
Not sure if I understand.
Which option are you referring to? Header in the customizer?
Hello, when in the backend I go to "posts" > "post categories" > "new category" there is a little dropdown with the title "page-header". I think it belongs to the gp-pro-plugin and here - I guess - I could select a page-header for the blog-page or the category-page. This is my question: As the list is empty (but I have some header-elements saved in "design" > "elements") I wonder if you forget about this left-over (from before "elements"-times), or how I could use this.
Page header has actually been replaced with Header Elements some versions ago.
See Tom's notes here: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/gpp-1-7-introducing-elements/
I would recommend migrating your old page header over to the new header element as suggested above.
Let me know if this helps :)
Hello, I try to tell you, me using 1.8.0-rc2, that I find a "page-header"-select-box, that does not work in "posts" > "category". And I try to tell you, that I think it is maybe kind of a programming-issue, sort of a bug, sort of a left-over that you missed to update. I don't have to update, I try to tell you that 1.8.0-rc2 needs to update - or rather ask if I'm wrong and what this checkbox could be good for.
I'm running the 1.8.0 rc 2 and not seeing the page header box:

Is your Page Header add-on still activated here?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/#activate-your-modules
Hello, yes indeed. When I opend GeneratePress, in the Customizer the Page-Header was still activated. When I deactivated it, it simply disappeared. I didn't know that I had to do this. Maybe you posted this somewhere. Yes, thanks that I could get rid of this and that I have a solution for that mistery. Kind regards Klaus
No problem :)
