    Q

    Hi Leo,

    When I follow the steps you have given me and take out the CSS I was using, the transparent navigation disappears when you go to the page, only when you scroll, do you see the sticky navigation.

    What do I have to do to keep the transparent navigation being seen when you are on the page?

    Thanks again

    Q

    Hi Leo,

    I still seem to be having problems with this.

    It seems to work in a mobile view but not desktop view, the sticky navigation is still transparent, with the image background behind it.

    I have also added this code to the CSS:

    .custom-fixed-header {
    position: fixed;
    top: 0;
    width: 100%;
    z-index: 2000;
    }

    .custom-fixed-header + * {
    padding-top: 100px;
    }

    and added to the GP Hooks

    Before Header

    After Header

    If I take the CSS and the code out of the GP Hooks then the white background does not appear at all in both views when I scroll.

    Thanks again

    Q

    Hi Leo,

    The first example does not seem to work, I still just see the cursor, it’s a bit strange if I hold down the x icon after click the search for a few seconds, then the background color seems to appear.

    The second example for the text works

    Thanks again

    Q

    Hi Leo,

    Sorry for the late reply. I have implemented the code you suggested.

    It does work but does not achieve the effect I need, as all you see is a cursor on the line below, is it possible to style that area so it can be seen that area is a search area and could there possible be some placeholder text which has the text ‘Search’ in there.

    Thanks again

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    Sorry for the late reply. I am still having issues with this.

    What I have created is just a stop gap.

    I will replicate the earlier issue and get back to you.

    Thanks for all your help Tom

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    The CSS you gave me allows the main slider to go on top of the generatepress header, I want to be able to keep the generatepress header on top of the slider.

    Would it be possible to be able to get the lightbox (when clicked from play button on slider) on top of the generatepress slider.

    This the CSS I found for the lightbox with video in it.

    .ms-slide .ms-slide-video {
    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    z-index: 111;
    background: black;
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
    border: none;
    }

    If that is not possible, would it be possible to get the close icon [x] above the generatepresss header. Here is the CSS I found for the close icon.

    .ms-skin-contrast .ms-slide .ms-slide-vcbtn {
    width: 24px;
    height: 24px;
    background: url(skins/contrast-skin.png) no-repeat -27px -30px;
    top: 30px;
    right: 50px;
    }

    Thanks

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    Here is the script

    <script>
    jQuery(function() {
    jQuery(‘a[href*=”#”]:not([href=”#”])’).click(function() {
    if (location.pathname.replace(/^\//,”) == this.pathname.replace(/^\//,”) && location.hostname == this.hostname) {
    var target = jQuery(this.hash);
    target = target.length ? target : jQuery(‘[name=’ + this.hash.slice(1) +’]’);
    if (target.length) {
    jQuery(‘html, body’).animate({
    scrollTop: target.offset().top
    }, 1000);
    return false;
    }
    }
    });
    });
    </script>

    Thanks

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    Yes that worked!!!

    I followed your instructions and disabled the smooth scroll code in GP Hooks.

    Is it best to move the smooth scroll to another GP Hook area or just disabled the whole code.

    Thanks again Tom, much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    I have deactivated my other plugins one by one to see if any of them are causing a conflict and deactivated all of them just leaving GP active but still the same result with the mobile menu.

    When I hover or click on the hamburger icon I get, my website address/#generate-slideout-menu don’t know what this means or this helps.

    Thanks

    Q

    Hi Tom,

    Yes, my setting in Customize > Layout > Slide-out Navigation is set to “Both”.

    I have also now disabled the mobile header in Customize > Layout > Header > Mobile Header is set to Disable.

    Still no luck with the Slide-out Navigation.

    Thanks
