Category shows shortcodes but strips HTML. Tags and custom taxonomy (Genres) only show text. Is this a known issue or something I’ve done in the child theme’s functions.php? http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/genre/dance/ http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/tag/bank-holiday/ http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/category/news/ February 25, 2018 at 7:17 am #505193 Andrew No worries – I got it working with this plugin: Visual Term Description Editor Just seemed a bit weird, it was an issue on this multisite but not on other sites I have built with GP. I can assign images to the tag and custom taxonomy but the Page Header doesn’t pick it up: http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/tag/bank-holiday/ – should be a full-screen image there, assigned to the “Bank Holiday” tag. February 26, 2018 at 8:58 am #506071 LeoStaff Customer Support Hmm so Add Background image is turned on? I’m not seeing an image being added in the code. How are you adding them? February 26, 2018 at 11:13 am #506176 Andrew I used this plugin – Visual Term Description Editor – to be able to add images to tags and custom taxonomy. You can see the Page Header works here http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/vault/talk-music-special/ – for normal posts. February 26, 2018 at 5:45 pm #506424 LeoStaff Customer Support Not sure what the plugin is supposed to do for GP’s page header? If you want page header on archives pages, you need to use global locations: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-global-locations/#post-types-%E2%80%93-archives February 27, 2018 at 12:09 am #506605 Andrew The Page Header can be set to retrieve the post’s featured image , no?Like for this post: http://oldskoolradio.pash.space/vault/talk-music-special/ However on categories, tags and custom taxonomy there is no featured image functionality. So I used the plugin and it enables me to assign an image for every category, tag and custom taxonomy item. But Page Header does not grab the assigned image to use as a full-screen background. February 27, 2018 at 8:45 am #507072 LeoStaff Customer Support Yeah I don’t think the plugin will work with the page header add-on this way. For now the you will have to create a page header for each of them and assign them using global location.
