I see.
To disable the right sidebar, create a Layout Element and set a sidebar layout for these archive pages: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
Now, can you move the “Merged Head” content on top of the Loop Template?

To make it clear,
I made the layout element to remove the right sidebar
and the location has to be ALL ARCHIVE. Is this right? Also, I don’t understand what you mean by move the merged Head..
When I use ALL ARCHIVE instead of post category, it seems to work..
Like give [portfolio head, portfolio content, portfolio right sidebar] all archive on the location
but a problem is that I am not seeing the title of content. it is showing the category on the title..When I use post category, nothing is shown up.
Lastly, When I use all archive, I can see it work, but the pagenation is gone..
I am also not sure if it is ok to use all archive cuz the i can’t see the title.Currently, I am using post category, but it doens’t work..

Yes, that’s correct.
Move the contents of Element – Portfolio Head to Portfolio Content.
Let us know how it goes.

Do you mean I need one Element that includes head and content?
If I move the content to loop tempalte, then the merged head wound’t work I guess..?
cuz it has to be hook-after head..?February 2, 2023 at 8:39 pm #2519522Jusung
On the portfolio head, I added the head part and content part as you said.
I am still confused. do i have to use post category right?

Can you disable this snippet you have first – “Filter Categories on Blog”? I’ll recheck afterward.

I have disabled it now.
I am really sorry to take your time for this..

Great! No worries, we’re here to help.
For your Elements, change the display rules to Post Category Archive instead of Post Category. Right now, they are just set to Post Category.

I have changed it to post category archive now, but I can see 2 querry loop and the title is the name of category.

Great! Can you try removing the Query Loop in the Portfolio Head Element?
February 3, 2023 at 12:01 am #2519616Jusung
Yes I have done it.
Now, no pagenation and it is not showing the title.

You can add a Headline Block for your Page Title in the Header Block Element.
Just set the Dynamic Settings. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/rRu5x0bY
There’s no pagination because there are only a few posts. Try adding more. Your pagination is set to 9 posts per page. You need to exceed 9 posts per category for the pagination to appear.
Alternatively, you can decrease the posts per page in Settings > Reading > “Blog pages show at most”

I don’t need “Inherit query from template” ??
what this is for../? Without this setting, it still works..Also, I have set it the title on headline block, but it deosn’t work.

Inherit query from template
allows you to show the actual posts of that category. If you don’t enable this, you can add any posts to your archive page.Ideally, it should be turned on.
Can you try adding the Headline Block to Element – Portfolio Head?
February 3, 2023 at 12:37 am #2519648Jusung
I understand. I should turn it on.
I don’t understand what you mean by adding headline block to prtfolio head.?
where to add the headline block?I added it on content since it has to be under the image.
