[Support request] Display posts by type, category, image, size, etc.

This is maybe a bit off-topic but I want to format the the front page of my news website with blocks of posts from different categories/tags (included and/of excluded), as well as formatting the layout of those posts (image size, etc).

I have a plugin called Ultimate post list but it doesn’t always work right for me.

Is there another plugin I might try?
