Adding that php snippet to get rid of the “#more3245” at the end of urls will that just create 2 urls now for every new post make? Because I noticed if I go to the old URL with the “#more3245” it 301 redirects just wondering what’s going on because I know google doesn’t like a website with a bunch of 301 redirects

Does anyone know or can direct me somewhere where I can find out?

    Hi Justin,

The more#-x jump link is added by WordPress whenever a user includes a Read More tag in their content.

It is the default behavior of WordPress. You can read more about it here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More

Regarding Search engines – they know what a jump link is, so there shouldn’t be a duplicate URL issue here.

You may also ask in the WordPress Forums for confirmation: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/wp-advanced/

    Anyway to disable it?

You would need to check with WP’s support team on disabling it as it’s a core function.
